Unfortunately, you do need to get this checked out. Some people swell less than others when it comes to arthritis. It could be growing pains, but sometimes extremely bad growing pains are a sign of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, something which may be lurking in your family’s genetic pool since they are all suffering from arthritis. Osteo arthritis, the most common form, is where with increased age or injury, the joints are worn out or damaged, and therefore hurt, stiffen and generally don’t work well. Rheumatoid arthritis is an auto-immune disease, which means that your body and your joints are attacking themselves.
They will probably start with X-rays, blood tests and looking for nodules (which feel kind of like hard little fibrous knots along certain joints like your achilles tendon). Blood tests are sketchy for the juvenile form, as for some reason the R factor (or rheumatoid) doesn’t always appear.
Also, there are several other possibilities for that type of symptoms, including just growing pains. Ask them to check you out and refer you to a rheumatologist if the pediatrist doesn’t find anything.
The best thing to do is to go to a doctor and get expert advice. You will feel much better if you know what is causing your problem and have the doctor help you.
it might have something to do with the shoes that you wear. but i would try using some epsomme salt and soak your feet in that or more importantly go to the doctor being that you have that much problems with your family history and maybe they could help you out. but i would do it before it gets to the point that you cant stand or anything like that. Good luck i hope that everything works out for you. or you can also go to web md and check out your syptoms on there.
