Remedies for GOUT pain?
My husband has debilitating GOUT pain in his foot. He’s a huge linebacker type guy, and can’t even walk. His job is door-to-door sales, and he’s in so much pain that he’s actually cried. I have NEVER EVER seen him cry from pain in 5 years! (This is a guy that goes paintballing SHIRTLESS…) What can I do? Are there any foods or anything that can help? He’s taking gout medicine, Vicodin, and tylenol, but NOTHING is helping.
He’s on colchicine (spelling?) already and it’s not helping.

I’ve heard that eating cherries will help.
Get him some cherry juice. It always helps my brother-in-law. If his pain is that bad, I’d suggest seeing the doctor again. It’s not right that he’s suffering like that.
I know a number of men who experience gout pain. What I heard they have used which is effective to control it is whole canned cherries.
Give it a try.
To be short…of course look into it on sites like webmd…BUT I’ve read to try cutting out sodas and sodium/salt.
For men, gout attack is only second to tooth acne. Go see a doctor. Indomethecin or colchicin will give him instant relief.
I have gout also, and I have found the only way to not have it is to stop eating meat. I was a true carnivore until gout sneaked up on me and made my life miserable until I stopped eating meat. Now I no longer have gout, although I do have to take Allopurinol every day, and I do not eat meat much any more. I really do not want meat like I did before. It doesn’t taste as good as it did before.
